@GeePawHill So due to a series of unfortunate events, My wife's phone number got reassigned to our daughter Thing2's phone, so just yesterday Thing2 sent some texts to her sister Thing1 posing as my wife, and telling her that I was playing harmonica with the Indigo Girls. She included funny emojis and things like my wife would.
"Like, he's playing along with them on the radio?"
"No, he went to an open call and won and now he's going with them on tour."
AND THING1 BELIEVED HER! Which pleases me no end, because I'm not really that good a harmonica player but my kid apparently believes I rock.

Girlfriend booked us a quiet UK getaway. On the way, I gingerly said "Given how close we are to the station, there's a good chance -" and she interrupted with "to see the new Class 810 Auroras, yes, that's why I chose it." She was never previously in to trains. She's the one.

One of my 472 favorite Indigo Girls songs. Maybe today is just an Indigo Girls day.
"Swamp Ophelia" is my favorite album. It was the first album they did with a full complement of players involved, rather than just the two of them.
True story: I did not like it. It took almost two years before I was able to lean in, and then, it happened sort of all at once.

Reality: Out of 6 million Danes, less than 200 Muslims have chosen to wear the niqab, and virtually no one wears the burqa, because Muslims in Denmark are not radicalized islamists — something which Eric Schmitt would now, had he read up on Denmark instead of just having strong feelings about my country.

That sounds like Jerry. We had a brief but rocky correspondence in the late 70s in which I tried to convince him that Basic would leave bad programming habits (he didn’t budge from thinking Basic was the best language for non-professional programmers) and he tried to convince me that his experience in the Korean War trumped my experience in Vietnam (I wasn’t persuaded). Any further correspondence was with his assistant.
They do have one skill: inventing new frontiers for corruption. No news outlet better fall for this...
