@MaddieM4 @mhoye @grmpyprogrammer I agree. I don’t have a problem with the technology itself, and it can be useful, but there are serious ethical issues with how it’s built and cultural implications with how it’s used.

Another thing we have to be careful of fooling ourselves over is that it’s also not intuiting anything. It is using probability through neural networks to choose the next word. (“Neural network” is also a horribly misleading term.)

So many "AI" features are like this: "There is no point to it and the average user has no use for it but we're going to let you do it anyway no matter how creepy and invasive it is!"
