450 Millionen € Einsparungen bei 25€ (monatlich) bedeuten 1,5 Millionen arme Kinder deren Unterstützung gestrichen wird. 😱

I think #countbinface needs an exit strategy as he could totally win the #clacton byelection against #NigelFarage. I have no doubt he'd do better than most, he certainly has the wits to do so if you go by his interviews, but does he want to? H'Angus the Monkey became mayor of Hartlepool in 2002, the man behind it Stuart Drummond was reelected several times totally a tenure of 10 years.
I need some #fedihelp
Recently more and more websites tell me that i am Blocked. Reasons differ.
Some are too many requests (startpage, steam) on the FIRST request.
Others (like MSDN, github, gitlab, cloudflare, some google apps) tell me that i got rate limited, also on the first request.
And some (Deutsche Bahn, lieferando, doctolib) outright tell me i am a bot and that their service is not available to me.
Default Firefox on Fedora. No Plugins for testing.
Whats happening?
@musevg Agreed, I used it in the early 1990s and it opened my eyes to Unix.
Calling FIFA's Infantino to reverse the red card did not help the corrupt president.
But Belgian soccer players mocking the Trump dance after defeating Trump's soccer team 4-1 is exactly the moment we need right now. 😘
@randahl hahah. FIFA even *did* the corruption for him (because it’s FIFA; this may have been a different corruption for the US) and he managed to still fuck things up. Not surprising
US manufacturers’ energy costs soar because of AI data center demand
Squeeze on Rust Belt electricity bills threatens Trump’s manufacturing plan.

Broligarch billionaires can afford to provide electricity for their own AI data centers without squeezing low and middle income people.
More communities arefollowing the example of Port Washington, Wisconsin which became the first community to vote down a data center in a referendum.
@oblomov @giorgiograppa @pgcd "I TRE CAPRI ROCHI" MENTIONED
watching the various articles of "omg firms are choosing not to hire 'ai literate' employees" and thinking of the very obvious future where the rest of us are going to have to catch the slack for these people and help carry them forth into the future
don't get me wrong: it's always valuable to teach juniors
but this entire goddamned coming fuckshow could've not been, and .... sigh
Sin bullying no hay amistad, manga de traumados.
It's not coincidental that Bostrom, one of the more influential philosophers in the SV / AI space, peddles anti-Black racism about white people being inherently more intelligent.
If you pose an intelligence metric by which some AI product or technique is measured, you'd damn well better be able to explain why it's a category error to apply your metric to humans!
Disaggregating the marketing term "AI" is good, but so is aggregating the eugenicist motivations for measuring and promoting different technologies in terms of some supposedly measurable quality of intelligence.
Part of the trouble of doing so, though, is avoiding also aggregating artistic and theatrical senses of the term "AI" as seen in, for example, behavioral models used to create the illusion that NPCs in games are real.
The moment you try to measure intelligence as a thing that can be synthesized and manipulated, you have more overlap with euginicists than is probably comfortable. There's ways of navigating that without adopting eugenicist framing, but that's not a project that Silicon Valley capital classes seem interested in.
