@Taweret Seriously… pretty sure I’ve seen this before
I know this is of no surprise to anyone who has paid attention to me for any length of time, but I just spent some time today thinking about how the industrial and post-industrial world is such an anomaly in human history.
We live in an aberration.
When was the last time you sang?
@ajroach42 I don't think I can go an hour without someone (usually multiple people) singing in my house.
@ivan glad you liked it! I wrote this for a grant application originally, and then published it separately because I think we really need more people thinking about this.
@Taweret Not sure if you’re joking, but I saw at least 3 series with similar plot set in 3 different continents

@ajroach42
I sang along with folks at our local May Day rally today.
@mikefordays hell yeah

@juliew2010 this is awesome!
@Npars01 understood. But we don't have Republicans in the UK (other than the anti-monarchy lot).
What did your MP say when you wrote to them about it?

The UK has public officials enacting billionaire agendas & fossil fuel funded fascism.

@mdhughes Was your dog in the danger zone?
I loved this conversation with John-David Dalton, author of Lodash, and one of the most genuine and fun people I've ever worked with (across 3 companies!), about open source and burnout. If you listen to nothing else, listen to the last 10 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbWx6sdhq7I&t=1975s
I've had a lot of conversations with JD, and he really is that person who will geek out about tech stuff and just wants to work on fun projects. These are the people building the open source commons, and it's really easy to forget that they are *people*, and that sometimes life (somewhat rudely) intrudes on your fun hobby project.
@ajroach42 I was humming when I saw this! and was singing earlier in the hour, mostly game & cartoon related songs. I think I sing every day?
@Korcenton That's very normal and also good. So many people don't.
HugOps to Canonical, but the complete lack of communication, especially when users have a critical vulnerability they can't patch during this outage, is pretty egregious.
