I'm excited to share Afterglow, my After Dark module player for macOS. With Afterglow you can run the original After Dark modules on your Mac -- directly, not inside an emulated classic Mac OS. Even as your screen saver!

Afterglow is not a port or remake: it runs the modules on the Musashi 68k CPU emulator with a re-implemented Macintosh Toolbox and OS API layer to reproduce the original module behavior.

My experience, over the decades, is that ignoring files generated by the build process is normal. And relatively "healthy." Ideally, one would build to a location outside of the source directories. But we often cannot control or change that, given the way that modern IDEs and develop environments work.

Our London borough has been one of the recipients of Dolly’s Imagination Library for the last few months. A free book every month. Some became my daughter’s favourites. I always make a little joke “Dolly sent this!!”.

This is a really sad loss for the world. 💔 the goal is to be this kind.

Also, I am always singing “toe beans” instead of “Jolene” when I touch my cat’s paws 😭😭😭

Just want to say that approximately zero times has “save your energy for the big fight” / “pick your battles” ever panned out. The entire concept aims to prevent you from voicing opposition in a moment you have the ability to and the most influence over. In a theoretical future fight, that undoubtedly became bigger because you didn’t speak up sooner, your voice probably carries less weight. The best time to voice opposition to bad things is when you see it, not after it has air to breathe.

Now, we wait to see whether the trial court judge approves the amended complaints and grants a new injunction pausing Trump regime’s actions while the merits of the case are heard. If he does and the DC Circuit upholds it, it will be fascinating/disgusting to see the grounds regime use to challenge the new temporary injunction at the Supreme Court and the new contortions the Roberts Six will go through to lift it. 5/5

@farah If you hold a wood drill bit up next to a wood screw, the bit wants to be somewhat smaller than the threads but not as small as the shank. I was a cabinetmaker and I still don't know any more precise rule of thumb for this.

What next? Isn't the idea to point out how you'd do things better than the current lot in power, not just meekly follow in their footsteps? What's the point of Labour?
