JAWS users, rejoice! Panthera Speech 1.1.0 finally supports both 32-bit and 64-bit SAPI 5! Enjoy Alex if you like that. It also comes with several other important fixes. As with pretty much everything in the SAPI 5 world, though, the non-SAPI version for NVDA is more responsive. But hey, SAPI 5 has its own fans too. https://github.com/tgeczy/panthera-speech/releases/tag/pantheraspeech%2Fv1.1.0 @Tamasg @serrebi

A quick update on Accesspoint:
You can now sign up directly through the website! No more Google Forms and waiting around for me to approve your application.
I’ve also just finished what will become the new Accesspoint SDK. It will make it much easier for us to build native applications for whatever platforms we decide to support. More on that later this week.
If you haven’t joined Accesspoint yet, now is a great time to jump in. Sign up, explore what’s already there, and if you have a resource, service, or opportunity that you think would be useful to the community, submit it and help us grow the platform.

@LabSpokane And he's ALWAYS been exactly like that.
I am reading “Crocosmia,” a gift left for me by editor Nick when he crashed at our place while we were out of town:
“Words fluoresced in clusters of significance, burst open and floated hopefully in a kind of searching mood, scattered widely, indiscriminately, like rain, and indeterminately, like pollination, attaching to meanings like the legs of bees.”
I can for sure see how this book is not for everyone, and for that matter I’m not sure it’s for me, yet. But I get it.
@adamgreenfield Nightboat is a great publisher of weird fucking books. They published Drift, one of my favourites.

Here is a link to the talk, sadly, it's hosted in a datacentre, not running freerange on the electric glades, so you will have to compromise your purity watching it.
