@researchfairy I didn't know you used to partake. I was ensnared by the "rapture ready" evangelicals in high school (loooong story, I'm better now), and I agree. It's the same rotten core, but it's spread so much further.

Platner had vowed to vote to replace Schumer as Leader. At this point Senate Democrats are divided on Schumer's continued leadership with many more progressive senators looking to replace him with someone like Chris Van Hollen or Chris Murphy. Who wins in Maine could decide both which party has the majority and who is the Democratic Leader.
