I think one of the worst parts is that while accessibility on Linux wasn't ever particularly great, it has actively gotten worse over the past decade or so and there's actually a pretty good case that one thing has caused that, that being the switch to Wayland. Wayland as a protocol has certain assumptions on how display servers should work and one of them is that programs shouldn't be aware of other programs. This obviously runs headfirst into the brick wall that is literally every piece of assistive software ever created but because Wayland protocol developers seem to be zealots that doesn't matter at best and at worst… you have a developer from the GNOME project posting about the project Talon Voice while being too much of a coward to actually name it, saying that accessibility advocates come with "maximalist" demands as if there's a reasonable limit to how much accessibility software can do. And then people wonder why said developers don't want anything to do with upstream gee can't imagine why they must be unreasonable and willing to help. Nearly every experience I have ever heard from anyone who has tried to contribute to Wayland's protocols has been profoundly negative.

firefox nightly has decided to modify the order of iterating through tabs to spite sidebery again and i can't rebind ctrl+tab/ctrl+shift+tab, not even in the ff native keybinding editor.

if anyone is actively developing a browser i may be able to be persuaded to come out of coffeescript retirement and write some sick extensions for you
