Eventually any tech business with a text editor will try to implement spell checking and they will invariably fuck it up repeatedly, cancel and uncancel the project and overall take years until they learn the lessons of how users use their app and how much they hate invasive red and blue lines.

The fireweed patch (aka rosebay willowherb) in our former herb garden has been busily releasing seeds into the wind for the last few weeks. I suspect it may try to take over the other raised-bed garden in the backyard that is currently dominated by mint, thistles, and rhubarb. Thanks to @Guy and @robtherunt for identifying these plants for me.
@2legged @JugglingWithEggs Some actors after playing in huge movies think that "stardom" is not worth it, and instead decide to play in whatever movie they feel like playing in, regardless of stardom potential (or actually away from stardom potential). She's a good example. Elijah Wood, and Daniel Radcliffe too. Becoming an A-lister also involves losing the ability to have a somewhat normal life. Kate Winslet or Elijah Wood can take the subway if they feel like it. Di Caprio? Not so much.

@AnarchoNinaWrites (I'm in the range where I'd prob get sick and/or die from it and I'd still leave it at "Yeah, we deserved that." if the US tries to invade/annex canada and they jsut nuke DC and solve a bunch of global problems all at once.)
@miss_rodent I mean their nice guy rep is overstated but I don't think they're gonna nuke us even if they can. More like occupational resistance. An entire country refusing to buy your products and indeed sabotaging anything you do in its borders. it will be bad for the rich guys - but they're too stupid and arrogant to know it yet.
