@gabrielesvelto please can you replicate it with, SK, Samsung, microslop, Nvidia, etc 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
@Noxie Microsoft and SK are a bit lower than where they were one year ago, the others will come down eventually when the AI bubble bursts. Oracle will have a part in it since it pledged to buy a lot of hardware. Once it runs out of money to pay the others it'll be a really cool domino. 🍿

kudos to The Verge for juxtaposing one of DHH's many insane racist/fascist statements right next to the bullshit victimization rhetoric of that 1Password cofounder
As time passes, even less activity will be necessary to justify this buffer size. Note that for many years the economic use of IBM memory was artificially
constrained by a 16 megabyte virtual memory limit, and users who do not have XA systems are still constrained in that way. This may serve to explain the statement in [11] to the effect that 4M bytes for buffers was not feasible.
Eight Megabytes And Constantly Swapping
A key consideration in memory buffering is whether we need to keep more than one size of buffer: single page buffers for page-nodes and larger sizes for multi-page blocks. It is a common property of modern computer systems that a multi-page read may be accomplished in a scatter/gather form to several non-contiguous memory locations
see i wish i had heard this when i began parallelizing zip file extraction and couldn't find a single example or any mention on the entire internet of anyone trying to do a scatter/gather on the archive format that tells you where everything is laid out in advance!

Alright folks, it looks like the #1Password execs aren't budging. Their co-founder is framing critics of DHH as calling him "evil," saying this is "unfair" and creating a chilling environment. This is a nonsense response to critique of a man who has called for ethnic cleansing. https://www.theverge.com/tech/988536/1password-dhh-linux-controversy
It's time to #Drop1Password. Cancel your subscription and share a screenshot. Tell them why you're cancelling. You will not lose access to your service until your subscription expires, giving the 1Password team the opportunity to reverse their sponsorship and/or you time to migrate.

I
Am going to
Lose my goddamn mind
@jpm
Any
Particular Reason
This time?
PIKE: Someone is going to need to go out on the hull and launch the probe by hand. It's the only way to drop the ship out of warp.
SPOCK: I will go.
PIKE: Spock, I can't ask you to do that.
SPOCK: Vulcans are less susceptible to radiation than humans, Captain. I am the logical choice. I will go.
PIKE: *through coms* What's that sound, Spock?
SPOCK: That is the sound of subatomic particles ricocheting off my helmet, Captain. I am releasing the probe.
PIKE: Good. Get back inside now, Spock.
SPOCK: ...
PIKE: Spock??
SPOCK: ...
PIKE: Are you there? Spock talk to me!
GRANDFATHER: Spock does not die of radiation poisoning at this time.
KID: What
GRANDFATHER: The radiation doesn't get him. I'm explaining this to you because you look nervous.
KID: I wasn't nervous. Maybe I was a little... *concerned*. But that's not the same thing.
GRANDFATHER: Because I can stop now if you want.
KID: No...no you can read a little more...if you want.
SPOCK: Do you know what that sound is, Captain? That's the subatomic particles ricocheting off my helmet.
KID: We're past that part, Grampa.
GRANDFATHER: Oh. Oh my goodness. I did. I'm sorry. Beg your pardon. All right, all right, let's see. Big vacuum in space. Can't drop out of warp. Probe. Spacewalk on the hull. The particles started to ricochet off his helmet. And then...
SPOCK and UHURA are in their quarters, sharing a passionate embrace and true love's kiss.
KID: Hold it hold it what is this? Are you trying to trick me? Where's the space? Where's the trekking? ...is this a kissing show?
GRANDFATHER: Trust me you're gonna love this when you're older.

Dottie has an upset stomach these past 2 days. Let's say I'm glad I bought a carpet cleaner last time she was like this; it's been handy this morning.
@BigGayShaun Oh no poor thing.
coolest thing i found on youtube today: someone built an inductively-coupled recorder and has captured the traction motor VFD waveforms for a whole bunch of trains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDkTO_8RQ8k
incredibly neat to see the PWM techniques and hear everything that doesn't make it into audible sound

SWIPE SOVEREIGNTY: The Gesture Typing Rebellion - Eclexic - E91
A UK man was acquitted of terrorism charges after delivering his own closing argument:
The devil exists amongst those who deliberately starve children to death because they rationalise that those children will only grow up to be terrorists. It exists among those who bomb tent encampments and literally burn children and their parents alive. It exists amongst those who call Palestinians “human animals” the same phrase used by Himmler, the head of the SS about Jewish children in a speech on October 4, 1943 to senior SS Generals.
