I do not know what is afoot, but I do not believe Stephen’s plan is to stay silent in the most important election year in U.S. history, and I will not be surprised if he launches a new show soon — completely free from the C… BS.

In the coming weeks I would like to speak with people from both @gancio and @mobilizon (will contact you by mail for that). If you know anybody else who is working on event software for the Fediverse, I'd be happy if you could show them this.

I'm not sure that we do.
The last time I was looking at the global potentially-minable lithium reserves, there wsa onyl 20% of what was needed to do a direct 1-for-1 replacement of IC engines.
It was one of the reasons that the discovery of the lithium reserves in California 3-4 years ago, was so significant, as that potentially added another 5% to the total.
We should be using NiFe batteries for the static systems, as they are way safer, and can ONLY be used for static systems. They are very heavy for the amount of energy that they store, so are completely unsuitable for portable system.
And yes, we should be recycling ALL oof the lithium, instead of dumping it in landfill.
@BillySmith @meulop @simon_brooke we should not be aiming to replace 1:1 ICE vehicles. This is why public transport is a foundation upon which a sustainable future can be built. Like wise active travel and cycle infrastructure are the cornerstone that continues the construction. One of the big yank tank electric SUVs has enough battery materials for 500+ ebikes. That's where we should be spending our resources.
The fundraiser for a new computer is still ongoing.
This machine is what keeps #HolosSocial, #Fedilab, #Castlab and #Fediplan moving forward on Android, iOS, and soon #Holos on macOS, Windows and Linux, from a single codebase. The current setup is reaching its limits.
