Je vais peut-être poser une question conne, mais :
Pourquoi il y a toujours un gros rond noir autour des objectifs des appareils photo des smartphone ?
@sebsauvage Pour générer un max de POUET 🤗🤭😉
Just your average horse and sheep running around a field chasing each other day today.

No soluciona res que els hagin cessat, #Rodalies seguirà funcionant igual de malament fins que no s'inverteixi tot el necessari.

#writersCoffeeClub 1/27: What's a technical skill you think should be more widespread?
I'm always a little surprised at the number of people who seem to be unable to identify a good sentence or even a grammatical one without the use of (now) AI-adjacent products like Grammarly or Pro Writing Aid.
The other day I saw someone agonizing about whether or not using PWA to edit their book before sending to an agent meant they were using AI, b/c a lot of agents apparently won't touch a manuscript that was created using AI. And I just think...if you knew how to write a grammatical sentence, if you could judge for yourself whether your sentence was having the effect you want...you wouldn't need that shit. This wouldn't even be a question. Those programs don't do anything for you that you can't do for yourself.
Another popular subgenre of post is "I fed my manuscript into the LLM and asked it to make suggestions." Okay. Maybe don't. Learn to trust your own judgement, find some friends, or hire an editor.
#writersCoffeeClub 1/27: What's a technical skill you think should be more widespread?
Among writers? The ability to write a grammatical sentence and punctuate it properly, without needing an editor to tell the difference between similar words like affect/effect or discrete/discreet, etc.
Language is our medium. If we don't understand the technicalities of how it works, we will never write as well as we might otherwise.
@glynmoody @rysiek Groz should definitely be banned since they violated the law.
@Minimac @glynmoody I would be cautious with calling for online services to be "banned", as that easily leads to banning all sorts of things politicians tend to not like – and in the context of CSAM there is a raging debate in the EU about Chat Control and potentially banning Signal. Obviously that would be dumb and very very bad.
But I would really like to see politicians doing something way, way simpler: just closing their accounts on Xitter. That is a decision they can take themselves.
Thoughts that would have been ridiculous to my 25 year old self: "I only have 2Tb storage in my laptop, I probably could do with 4Tb..."
@andypiper Several folders (the important ones) on my PC are synchrosised with Shares or folders within Shares on NAS systems, on Windooze with an On demand setting where the files are only transferred from the NAS to the disk in the PC when you open te file.
The rest only is the directory listing of files that don't take any space on the internal disk.
