I just grokked #git worktrees 馃槏馃槏馃槏 no more sitting on my hands when I want to do git janitorial things but don't want to shift disk state underneath long-running processes!
I kinda wish it "linked" untracked files from the parent tree too, but I assume there's good reasons it doesn't, or that I missed a flag somewhere.
@bitprophet I鈥檓 still trying to figure them out. I don鈥檛 totally understand how state merges are supposed to happen with them
@phildini define state merges? I interpreted what was going on like having two working copies for the same checkout, or like having two checkouts that magically mirrored each other's local branch setup.
