Former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland has been arrested in relation to The Epstein Files.
Former Prince Andrew has been arrested in the UK.
But in the US, where Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files for raping children and other crimes, he is still running the country and no investigation is conducted.
That makes absolutely no sense.

Compare these arrests with the banner of him hung from the Justice Building. Trump is *the law* and he is above it now. Fine timing of the hanging of that banner - doubling down, rubbing our nose in it, laughing at us with the boot on our neck.
@randahl With a Republican Supermajority paid for by the billionaire class this is what we have been left with and it is sickening. Project 2025 is a strategy aimed at kneecapping democracy. We tried to warn people but they've captured the Christian Nationalists and racists and are cheating in any way they can. Public trust has been lost because we have so many liars running the show.

Jagland is not been arrested but has been charged with “aggravated corruption” by Økokrim (Norwegian economic crime unit).
Jagland has been interrogated by the police and three of his properties were searched by Norwegian police.

It makes no sense only if one expects a balanced system that tries to be fair with the people. In reality, that's just our wishful thinking, our projection onto a system that is everything but just: exploding inequality, rampant racism, corrupt SCOTUS, a captured by political money system, all prove the US is not what it pretended to be; a democracy. It's been an oligarchy for decades, now turning to #fascism, unable to deal with the crises it has created in the usual manner.
@randahl It makes perfect sense that in an emerging dictatorship the wannabe dictator is immune from prosecution. Trump became president because it was the only way he was going to stay out of prison. He filled the justice department that would be investigating him with loyalists precisely so that they’ll protect him. The tragedy is that he could have been impeached, but the GOP is too cowardly. He could have been in prison, but the justice system was too slow.
You have Jagland, you have former Prince Andrew, in France there's investigations (calling for possible victims to come forward), we see Justice is busy in Europe, we see justice is doing its job.
But how about the USA? What happened to justice for all?
@randahl Sure, but the former prince is a «safe» arrest, plus he qas arrested for divulging trade secrets, not… other things. And they haven’t touched e.g. Richard Branson, a UK billionaire named in the files as wanting Epstein to bring his «harem»…

The U.S. judiciary is elected / chosen by politicians and so far from the independence a democratic society should have.
