JD Vance knows that undocumented people aren't buying up all the housing inventory, just like he knows that Haitians aren't eating dogs. He doesn't say these things because he believes them. He says these things to speak to his base.
Some of y'all are trying to engage with his point earnestly.
@mekkaokereke paraphrasing Hannah Arendt, they don't say these things to be believed, but to justify what they plan to do.
Maybe I'm naïve but I'm saddened that outright, shameless lying has become the norm in US politics. (Not limited to Republicans, either.)
