I just saw this phrase written in serious tone:

"I care for my information security and for this reason I deleted my Signal account, I don't want to share my data with some shady company. "

The person was saying it in an unencrypted Telegram chat, akin to ones they use to discuss all their business and private matters. I think, another piece of trust in humanity has just chipped from me. Idiocracy seems to be taking over.
