The North American Nebula (NGC 7000, left) and the Pelican Nebula (IC 5070, right) in SHO narrowband.

For the uninitiated, SHO narrowband:

  • Red = sulphur
  • Green = hydrogen
  • Blue = oxygen

    #astronomy #astrophotography
A field of stars filled with two large clouds of rainbow-colored gas. The cloud on the left has generally the same shape as the North American continent. Apparently someone thought the cloud on the right looks like a pelican (I don't see it)?
