My trip finally begins : Tonight, the 453 will bring me in a comfortable wagon-lits to Berlin, the first stop of my #FOSSRail trip from 🇧🇪 Brussels to 🇹🇭 Bangkok connecting the FOSDEM with the FOSSASIA by train.

I will spend the next two weeks on trains across 12 countries and 11.000 km on rails.

The vending machine is not able to sell tickets over the border from Frankfurt(Oder) to Rzepin. There is no other vending machine nor a ticket counter. So a national online ticket from Rzepin to Warszara it is and we will ask the conductor so sell us the international part onboard.

Due to exceptional terminus of Frankfurt(Oder) of the Germany - Poland EIC trains these days, we're taking the comfortable Desiro HC regional trains for 45 minutes before reaching our 🤝🏽 finally bringing us to Warsaw.

One step further : After a cuddly journey with @char and @ellie in a comfortable wagon-lits of the 453, we arrived perfectly on time for our transfer in Berlin for the local train replacements in towards Erkner and Frankfurt (Oder).

Next major destination : Warsaw 🎉.

After arriving in Zagreb, I sadly had to turn back northbound immediately : The comfortable #Lisinski will guide me through the Alps while asleep ; arriving in 🇩🇪 #Stuttgart tomorrow morning during my travels to FOSDEM.

The business trip did business trip things but finally after three days I'm back on trains.

In order to get more night train for my money, I'm traveling southbound to 🇭🇷 #Zagreb. I caught the comfortable 115 #Mimara connecting Munich, Salzburg and Villach with the Slovenian and Croatian capitals.

While there sadly is not @diningcar the friendly steward from DoN's arrived shortly after the departure in Ljubljana and served some tea with a sandwich along for my Slovenian local coke.

Now enjoying two hours of trains and winter rains outside before boarding my night train bringing my closer to FOSDEM.

I gladly caught the last 🤝🏽 RB52 / C38 on #Bienwaldbahn since the later ones are canceled.

Question to the experienced #Turkey travelers here :

- The Van Gölü Ekspresi arrives at Tatvan at 13:44.
- The Van Tehran Ekspresi leaves Van at 21:00

Does the Lake Van Ferry run according to the mainline schedules and ensures transfer between the two trains ? I mean, it's operated by as well.

Meeeeeehhhh, why do Van Gölü Ekspresi and the Van - Tehran Ekspresi only run that rarely and why do they run exactly on dates causing me to wait three days in Turkey ? That makes 6 nights for crossing Turkey from Dimitrovgrad to Tabritz, that's a lot considering it's only 1000 km.
