I feel like they're making it so screaming obvious that it's Fiona that it can't really be Fiona. Like, if you write a murder mystery and every other page you dropped a clue that Bob was the killer and then at the end revealed Bob was really the killer, your readers would all be like, 'I could've stopped reading at page 17. Why did I keep going for another 324 pages?'
