My parish did our usual blessing of the nearby headwaters of the Missouri River today, the Sunday after Theophany. I somehow captured this of Fr. David throwing the ice cross into the river with my 5-year-old iPhone SE. We’ve used an ice cross ever since Fr. David’s attempt to tie a cross to a string failed spectacularly several years ago. 🙂 #Christianity #Orthodox #Theophany

A photo of an Orthodox priest in white vestments wearing a black hat with no brim, a gold pectoral cross on a chain, and long black gloves. The priest’s arms are extended, his vestment robes are billowing out, and the pectoral cross is suspended in the air. He’s standing on the bank of a river under a mostly cloudy sky. A large cross made of ice that he has just thrown is suspended several feet out above the water.

Looks like we're going to postpone Christmas celebrations because all the kids in the family got the flu.

I like having a family that cares more about gathering and spending quality time than celebrating events at a specific date 😄

@thibaultamartin
Tell them this year you celebrate the #orthodox #Christmas, I.e. #ephiphany for #catholics 😆😁
