This hawk bum-rushed our feeders but came away empty taloned.
Toss up between a Cooper's or Sharp-shinned.... we've had both in the area. I'm thinking Cooper's because it's pretty thin and has fairly dark wings and back, but I'm still not positive.

My wife bought me a very cool #birding gadget. I’m deeply leery of the internet of things, but this is too cool. You set it outside and it listens for birds and reports back.
Supposedly it auto-deletes human voices. I bet the CIA would love to compromise this network.
