Kaleido 6 - supernova
The starting point for this is a black-painted post, where the paint has flaked off in many places, revealing an older yellow coat of paint underneath. The whole thing looked like a map.

This was a shot of 2 flags of my favourite football team (if you look closely, you can see an E) and an S-Bahn sign against a blue sky, which I took on Monday in Frankfurt.

This year, I started making kaleidoscope-like artworks from my photos. The technique is basically simple. You rotate and mirror them multiple times and overlay them with different filters. But there are many steps and many variables, so the results are hardly reproducible. They are always surprising, but of course they also depend heavily on the photos used. Surfaces and structures form the basis for what I consider to be beautiful images. I hope you like them too.
