"As the economic landscape shifts beneath their feet, confused and aggrieved young white men — and a growing number of non-white Gen Z men, too — are, ironically enough, searching for the 'safe spaces' they tend to mock."
"Threats to male dominance are particularly acute for younger men, who did not inherit the patriarchal advantages their fathers and grandfathers did. Today, roughly 57 percent of undergraduate students and 60 percent of graduate students are women. At 52 percent, the share of undergraduates today who are white has plummeted from 82 percent 50 years ago. Law, medical, and other professional schools likewise feature rising shares of women and minorities."

"Results from the 2016 election, when most of today’s under-30 Americans were still too young to vote, confirmed that Trump is particularly attractive to citizens who express feelings of 'status threat.' Whites, men, and others who believe social changes are curbing their influence are drawn to MAGA’s traditionalist appeals and incessant attacks on social movements like #MeToo, wokeism, and Black Lives Matter.

Check out how Yale computer science professor David Gelertner now defends recommending a student to Epstein for a job by saying she’s “a v small goodlooking blonde.” https://yaledailynews.com/articles/gelernter-tells-dean-he-stands-by-praising-student-s-looks-to-epstein Gelertner’s defense: he was rightly “keep[ing] the potential boss's habits in mind."
So... he writes out "goodlooking" but abbreviates "very".
One could assume that he recognized, in this context, "very small" was a proxy for "childlike" and resorted to abbreviation to pretend this wasn't v creepy.
And were he aware of E's history, mentioning this characteristic seems to be an attempt to ingratiate himself with E.
A shame that all of the men Gelernter knows allegedly "behave" like this.
That explains a lot, but it excuses nothing.

What the fuck is wrong with men?
"... it shows a man approaching her repeatedly, coming closer and closer. He reaches out and touches her - wiping something wet on her arm.
"At first I thought it was coffee," she says. "But when I watched the video back - you can hear him saying 'that's my pee'. My jaw dropped. I was horrified."
