Imagine the Federal Police in Germany taking over a mid sized city, overriding the local Police Force, stoking outrage & fear at every occasion, executing a Citizen and then calling in the Bundeswehr when people are legitimately protesting.

..

Whats happening in the US is #warfare. Like Iran raiding Kurdish cities, or like violent inner-state conflicts in other places.

Exept that it isn't ethnic tensions in the #USA. It is a political choice. One that can't be put back in the box once its out

"Frey described a federal force that is five times [ !!!!! ] as big as the city's 600-officer police force and has "invaded" the city"

This is beyond insane.

In this interview, Thomas Karat is joined by Yassamine Mather — Oxford scholar and razor-sharp political analyst — to break down the new wave of unrest across #iran, what’s driving it, and why Trump may be preparing the ground for “absolute change”

Let's talk about power, #propaganda, and the uncomfortable possibility that some actors are trying to engineer the outcome — using everything from sanctions and #currency #warfare to fake reels amplified by #media

After the Ngogo #chimpanzee group killed 21 members of neighboring groups and expanded their territory by 22%, female #birth rates more than doubled and #infant survival increased sharply—showing clear fitness benefits from intergroup killing.

Beware that this will be taken to back up #warfare models for early human societies. But this is a rather different story because female chimps get no help feeding their infants, rarely help each other and are constrained to great ape brain sizes. Chimps are way more territorial than hunter-gatherers in general. It's very doubtful if warfare would help Homo mothers of extremely large-brained offspring.
