So maybe someone on fedi can help me here, but after updating my #ThinkPad #T14 #BIOS to 1.17, #fedora can no longer #suspend normally and freezes and requires a hard power-off each time. I tried some #grub stuff, many suggested fixes I found on the internet and a newer kernel (6.18 instead of 6.17) but nothing worked. So I think it may be a #Lenovo issue.

In case you wonder what is the #BIOS setting to automatically start your computer when it receives power, and your damn Chinese BIOS doesn't have something like "Restore on AC Power Loss", the relevant parameter is State After G3 and should be set to S0 State.

Gestern den ersten Laptop (Lenovo Consumer, Windows 8.1) gehabt, den wir nicht auf #Linux umrüsten konnten. Es fand sich im BIOS keine Möglichkeit den USB Stick als Bootmedium festzulegen. Hat uns mega geärgert, aber ich habe auch keine Idee wie man es hätte lösen können. Kennt man ja von #Lenovo eher nicht so.
Wenn Du eine Idee hast, wie es trotzdem gegangen wäre, mach uns gerne klüger.
