I was disappointed to read Cory Doctorow's post where he got weirdly defensive about his LLM use and started arguing with an imaginary foe.

They are building datacenters full of AI chips to burn fossil fuels. They are monetizing energy to control people with their prompt responses. They're telling people what to think and buy, the same as they've been doing since Standard Oil.
They have energy, and they are trying desperately to control people, because their energy monopoly is dying.
The only way to beat the company town scam is to walk away.
