About 60 copies of WEKILL//LEAKS version 0.9 were brought and distributed to #39C3! \o/ Thanks so much for the warm welcome and appreciation! Playtests were a bit chaotic (note for next year: bring some portable bright light to complement the dim, changing lights of the @HouseOfTea !), yet donations almost covered the printing cost! That's a first!!! Thanks _so much_!
📣 To everyone who got a copy: Now the most important thing you can contribute to the project is playtest with your friends and FEEDBACK! Anything generic or specific, graphical or emotional, about gameplay mechanics or about the storytelling, good or bad, matters a lot!

Hat noch jemand alte DECT-Telefone rumliegen? Gern gegen Versandkosten zu mir, ich sammle übers Jahr und verschenke sie an Personen die sie brauchen aber nicht kaufen können (oder vergessen haben). Every time I read about a trans or otherwise gender non-conforming person commiting suicide, regardless of whether I know them or not, it feels like I lost a sibling.
Usually I can direct the anger at queerphobic governments, far-right pundits, neo-nazis and the like. But this time it is our own fault. It has to come to my attention that one of the attendees at #39c3 had to put up with abuse during the event, felt extremely isolated and ended their own life.
I do not know this person, I do not know the exact circumstances that led to this. But I know that if we as a community cannot support each other, we might as well be no proper community at all.
CCC as an organisation has to fix their shit and so does the hacker community collectively.
Actually not sure if I'll go to #40c3.
But I will more proactively be looking out for people in need of help, I feel like that's the least I can do.
