I've seen 3D plans for loud whistles. I don't have a 3D printer myself yet, but is it safe to put 3D printed stuff in your mouth? I know that there are ones that use plastic and ones that use resin, and I thought the resin ones were more toxic. But isn't plastic also a problem?
I was looking at 3D printed whistles the other day and wondered how hard it would be to make one that just snaps onto a jacket zipper, so you'd always have a whistle with you. Looked at someone's 3D whistle to come up with basic design, experimented making different size chambers for multiple tones and futzed around with variety of ideas to attach zipper pull vs. easy printing. Spoiler alert, most zipper pulls are 2mm thick and 12mm wide, except all of those that aren't!

By request from a Minneapolis protester, I created a couple of whistles that easily clip to your jacket hood or shirt lapel for hands-free operation. This is my first published 3D model, and a remix of a great loud AF whistle. Stay warm, and stay safe!
I'm open to feedback and would love to make a useful tool that helps in the fight.

Their efforts—community patrols, rapid responders, school escorts, vendor buyouts, honking horns & blowing whistles—are a uniquely #Chicago response that other cities #Trump has targeted for federal intervention want to model.
“The strategy here is to make us afraid. The response from Chicago is a bunch of obscenities & ‘no,’” said Anna Zolkowski Sobor, whose North Side neighborhood saw agents throw tear gas & tackle an elderly man. “We are all Chicagoans who deserve to be here. Leave us alone.”
Perhaps the clearest indicator of #Chicago’s growing #resistance is the sound of #whistles.
The activist Baltazar Enriquez is credited with being among the first to introduce the concept. For months Little Village residents have used them to broadcast the persistent presence of #immigration agents.
Furious blasts both warn & attract observers who record video or criticize agents. Arrests, often referred to as #kidnappings because many agents cover their faces, draw increasingly agitated crowds.
