The internet has a new favourite number! :)

by Reddit user: @sudo_masochist

This line chart titled “The Internet Has a New Favorite Number” displays worldwide Google search interest for the numbers “67” (red line) and “69” (gray line) from 2004 to November 2025, with data indexed so the maximum value equals 100. The gray line for “69” shows relatively stable, moderate search volume—fluctuating between roughly 40 and 60—with occasional spikes around 2019. In contrast, the red line for “67” remains low and flat until around 2023, then rises sharply, surpassing “69” in late 2024 and peaking at 100 (the maximum index value) by November 2025, where it is labeled “67” in large red text. The chart humorously suggests a cultural shift in online attention, implying “67” has overtaken “69” as an internet meme or favored number. Source is cited as Google Trends, with credit to sudomasochist.substack.com at the bottom right.

Elon Musk is now boosting content which tries to pressure Vice President JD Vance into executing Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz.

The closer we get to the midterm elections, the more desperate they get.

@randahl @glynmoody one of my #memetics theories is that social bubbles of people work like an island in evolutionary theory. Without feedback the extremism forms new memes to be the new normal.
The time of the #billionaire must come to an end one way or the other.

Two panel webcomic by enora. It shows in panel one, the billionaire's imaginary of how bunkers will go, complete with people desperately begging to be let inside. Vs the second panel where a billionaire is shouting "let me out!" While a little guy sails past a mountain of discarded VR headsets. What will happen.

Boss says: the economy's doing great! We created 5 million jobs this year.

Worker says: I have 3 of them and I still can't pay my rent

“Belief polarization” is driving the shutdown more than political disagreement, according to a philosopher who studies democracy. Like-minded people become more extreme versions of themselves, not because of evidence, but because they want to fit in with their peers. https://theconversation.com/blame-the-shutdown-on-citizens-who-prefer-politicians-to-vanquish-their-opponents-rather-than-to-work-for-the-common-good-269041
