Two weeks later, we had a paper with 4 demands that will help establish real digital #sovereignty & strengthen existing open #social #networks, like the #Fediverse. ✨

On the 12th of November, we launched our #alliance with a press conference.

Today, the 30th organisation joins our alliance for #open networks. It is my very pleasure and honour that @edri

@rriemann sponsored the first #EU_OS stickers to let people show their support. A few will go next week to The Hague 🇳🇱 and even more later to #39c3 in Hamburg 🇩🇪 and #fosdem26 in Brussels 🇧🇪.

Unfortunately they come too late for the summit this week in Berlin #eusummit25.

Our democratic public sphere needs open networks!

Together with @offene_netzwerke we demand that public money be invested into Free Software and in open, decentralised infrastructures.

Am Dienstag fand der #Digitalgipfel #EUsummit25 in Berlin statt.

Unser Bündnis war dort mit mehreren Organisationen vertreten, allerdings nur abseits der Bühnen. Auf den Bühnen gab es nur wenig zivilgesellschaftliche VertreterInnen.

Thematisch haben gemeinwohlorientierte digitale Infrastrukturen leider keine Rolle gespielt. Weder werden soziale Netwerke noch die Rolle von OSS für digitale Souveränität ausreichend inkludiert.

Wir setzen uns auch nach dem Gipfel für unsere 4 Forderungen ein. ✨

Um sich von Big Tech unabhängig zu machen, istweniger relevant, wo Lösungen herkommen, sondern vielmehr dass sie #OpenSource sind, entgegnen zivilgesellschaftliche Akteure

On Tuesday, the #DigitalSummit #EUsummit25 took place in #Berlin.

Our alliance was represented there by several organisations, but only behind the scenes. There were very few representatives of civil society on stage.

Unfortunately, digital infrastructures oriented towards the common good did not play a role in the discussions. Neither social networks nor the role of OSS for digital sovereignty were sufficiently included.

We will continue to advocate for our four demands after the summit. ✨

Notre alliance y était représentée par plusieurs organisations, mais uniquement en coulisses. Il y avait peu de représentants de la société civile sur scène.

Malheureusement, les infrastructures numériques d'intérêt général n'ont pas été abordées. Ni les réseaux sociaux ni le rôle des logiciels libres pour la souveraineté numérique n'ont été suffisamment pris en compte.

Même après le sommet, nous continuons à défendre nos quatre revendications. ✨
