Given Jim Ratcliffe has been complaining about the number of people who are on benefits in the UK, perhaps he should recall that nearly half of those recipients are in receipt of in-work benefits & as such the real beneficiaries are hie fellow businessmen who are seeing their profits supported by the state that is subsiding employment (thereby allowing firms to pay their workers less).

Last year the HMRC (UK's tax authority) admitted that in a child benefit 'crackdown', in 63% of cases where benefits were suspended because the recipient had left the country permanently, actually they hadn't... now that proportion has reached 71% in their latest disclosure - that's nearly 3 out of 4 that wrongly denied benefits!

Its yet one more case of bureaucrats with rubbish data erring on the side of a view benefits claims must be fraudulent!

Since you have already expressed your #mind on the issues of #stupid-individualism I think it would be interesting to #explore specific-case #benefits of it, based on cases which had #positive #outcome . In the same fashion, it could be interesting to explore the #negatives of a #shared-governance and #open-processes in #context of #projects which had #negative outcome from it, as a #thought-exercise .

In-work & housing benefits are not (in the last instance) policies that help the poor rather they are a mechanism to funnel state fund into supporting profits for low-wage employers, and landlords (whose rents are higher than they would be without housing & other benefits being paid to the poor).

So when people talk about 'benefits cheats' you might want to point this out...

It is not just Streeting, I would like at the very least, all large commercial donations to be explained by governments of any colour as to the benefits they accrue. Preferably I would go furthe than that and just ban them.
