Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy won't it just go away. It's back after a two month hiatus, and serving glamour realness with new tail feathers.
Well, it’s happened. The uninvited peacock that showed up on our doorstep 4 months ago stopped coming around recently. It got rainy and then snowy and cold.
And now I’m worried about the damn thing.
For those worried, I saw it today at a neighbor’s house, so it made it through the winter storm. And maybe it found a new household to annoy and poop all over. Yay!
This lady puts food out for stray cats, I bet she never thought it would be feeding a peacock tho 😅

New peacock sound unlocked. It's pissed. It had a run in with Maddie (my dog) and I wasn't too happy about that.
Warning - turn your sound down - this thing is LOUD.
Note it's neck feathers all puffed out. That's because I scared it and sprayed it with water.
Peacock update.
I'm now angrily chasing it around the yard, Benny Hill style, shouting "GIT! GIT!" and waiving a broom at it. Sometimes in sasquatch pajama pants.
I wish I was joking.
It's still hanging around, it loves to roost on our deck at night. Or our roof.
This effing majestic bird, pooping everywhere, staring into my soul. Mumble grumble get off my lawn!

Ok this peacock was amusing at first, but now WTF am I supposed to do, seriously? It's still hanging out at our front and back door, staring into my soul, eating our plants.
I think it wants us to feed it? But I have no desire to have a pet peacock.
Yes, the gay boys on the street having a prideful peacock would be just dandy and not cause giggles one bit.
Will call the local vet Monday morning and see what they recommend - "peacock removal" isn't a real profession I guess.
Maddie isn’t thrilled with our new feathered friend that keeps showing up at our doorstep.
#Macro photo of a peacock's tail feather. Bird dropped it right in front of me while moulting back in July. It's so much fun to zoom into these shots and discover all the iridiscent details.
