#ArtAdventCalendar Day 3 - Still one of the highlights of my summer--photographing a female (or juvenile) merlin in rural Alberta. This one let me get within about 6ft of her, and I have a couple close ups, but I love something about this one along the fence line.

As we pulled into our drive after an early morning appointment, I glanced into the field and spotted this little fellow just resting there. She/he looked so pretty through the flowers in the morning light, I took this.
