The core of it was a mock trial.
The defendant: Donald J. Trump.
He was present as a cardboard cutout.
The jury: We the People.
Witnesses detailed his crimes.
When called upon, we the People shouted the verdict: "GUILTY."
Rally leaders then dressed the cardboard defendant in an orange jumpsuit.
"LOCK HIM UP!"
Led by a younger woman with a guitar, we sang "This Land Is Your Land" by Woody Guthrie & "What's Up?" by 4 Non Blondes.
Fiery speeches.
Emphasis on #LoveNotHate.
Repeated calls to #GetInvolved.
More group singing, now led by a woman who channeled Carol King & all the protests of the '60s.
