When you refuse to see how you perpetuate the myth of white supremacy, in your workplaces, your relationships, your leadership, your silence, you are still participating.
You’re still asserting whiteness as the default.
White folx often ask: “What can I do?”
Stop pretending you don’t know.
Stop centering how uncomfortable it makes you feel to name your complicity.
And stop expecting Black and brown people to guide you through the reckoning that you’ve spent your entire life avoiding.
The myth of white supremacy doesn’t just survive through hate; it thrives through white avoidance, white fragility, and white insistence that everything can change without white people changing.
If you want to dismantle the myth, you have to start by dismantling the illusion that you can do it without confronting yourself.
