A Boyd’s forest dragon, which looks pretty exactly how I would imagine a “real” baby dragon to look #australianwildlife

A lizard with long slender toes, a long tail, spines on the back of its head and down its back, hanging onto a small tree

From today’s fellowshipping with the furbies.

I know now that the kids are getting big they could decide to migrate elsewhere in the neighbourhood any day so I’m making the most of my opportunities to visit

Finally got some photos of Australia’s “blue ant”, Diamma bicolor, which is not an ant at all but a shockingly large metallic blue thynnid wasp, wingless and solitary, that hunts mole crickets. Been meaning to shoot this thing for years.

There are some fun taglines for the various birds in the list. I quite enjoyed this one for the Pied currawong: “Can't go wrong with a currawong”.
