I recently passed that point in the Earth's orbit where my odometer clicks over one notch. Perhaps that's why the Brain DJ started singing this:
Chuck Berry, "No Particular Place to Go" (1964)

Alan Freed is a radio DJ who is responsible for giving rock and roll a big push in the 50s. He did these tours with bands who were making music in the then-emerging style. He even helped to popularize the term “rock and roll.”
He also worked hard to create a convergence of teenage music fans across the racial divide.
“Alan Feed the waves as much as Lincoln freed the slaves” is a lyric from a Public Enemy song.
