Yesterday I received news from my close friend, @mohamednaji, that his mother fractured her pelvis after falling off a cart during transport, and had to undergo surgery. Her condition is stable, but it’s going to take quite some time before she can stand or walk.

Figured out how to take that extra weight off. All I have to do is all the cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping in addition to the usual barn chores for 3 weeks.
Looking forward to my wife being back on her feet. Not for the housework, mind you. It feels good to be less sedentary. Just for us to be able to do things together besides sit in bed. Of course it’s hardest for her by far.
Alas, it looks like that ambulatory future might be another 10 pounds away.
