I can rarely say I hate using a piece of software but I really hate Gimp. 💢

Here's the thing; I can use #Photoshop like a pro with my eyes closed. I know all the keyboard shortcuts and understand what everything does.

Same with #Figma. And those skills are transferable to other apps. If I open #Sketch I can pretty much understand everything with ease, even though its not my daily driver.

Then I open #Gimp. And I understand nothing. Nothing works as I would expect. It's wild. 😵‍💫

Though Im sure many people in the masto communities already know about it, here's a recommendation for Photopea. A very real alternative to Photoshop for many uses, this is a browser-based app that has multiple functions of PS, all in the browser. You do not need to be connected to the internet once you have opened the webpage (I need to do a couple of tests on this to find out how it works). All your artwork is kept on your own computer, so uses the local-hosting model for privacy and security (eg similar to Cryptpad). It is incredibly powerful, and free. Search for more information to find out more about it.

It’s kind of amazing to watch a movie and genuinely have no idea how it will end. This movie is nearly three hours long, and it felt like a tight 90 minute thriller. Bonus points t the people who made the trailer; it totally gets the feel of this film without spoiling it.

Also: this movie made me realize that I absolutely would fall for someone disguising themselves with a wig or a mustache.

There are surprisingly few decent resolution images available for this movie, so I picked a minimalist source poster and did some creative interpretation.
