speaking of prince...before i forget, it's time for me to post all the album anniversaries n'whatever for 2026:
💜 40th anniversary of the film "under the cherry moon" (july 2nd) and its soundtrack, "parade" (march 31st). it is also the 40th anniversary of the "kiss" single (feb. 5th for the 7", march 5th for the 12")! speaking of the "UTCM/parade" era, there'll be another symposium over in new york soonish! check here for info: https://iwonderu.polishedsolid.com
(edit-o: holy shit i nearly forgot about this: prince's birthday, june 7th, marks 40 years since the detroit '86 birthday show! ~how i almost forget to add this important gig, fucken wow~)
💜 30th anniversaries of the "emancipation" and "chaos and disorder" albums (november 19th & july 9th, respectively)
💜 20th anniversary of the "3121" album (march 21st). next year will mark 20 years since the 7/7/07 minneapolis shows. that was the last time i saw him live...wow i feel old 
🕊️ ...and of course, april 21st will mark 10 years since prince's untimely passing. Princey Season™ will be a bittersweet one this year for sure.
