Het Koninklijk Concertgebouw keerde afgelopen woensdag op haar schreden terug: Shai Abramson, de hoofdcantor van het Israëlische leger, mag alsnog op 14 december komen optreden. Daarmee biedt de organisatie een podium aan een vertegenwoordiger van een leger dat volkerenmoord pleegt, iemand die propaganda maakt voor genocide en oorlogsmisdaden.
Daarom staan wij vanavond om 19u voor het Concertgebouw om deze gang van zaken aan te klagen. Wij roepen het Concertgebouw op tot een echte culturele boycot van Israël. Kom allen om de bezoekers van het Concertgebouw te laten weten dat het instituut de hoofdcantor van een genocidaal leger welkom heet, en neem zelf vlaggen en spandoeken mee! 🇵🇸🍉🥁

Last Wednesday, the Royal Concertgebouw reversed its decision: Shai Abramson, the chief cantor of the Israeli army, will be allowed to perform on 14 December after all. With this decision, the organisation is providing a platform to a representative of an army that commits crimes against humanity, someone who makes propaganda for genocide and war crimes.
That is why we will be standing in front of the Concertgebouw at 7 p.m. tonight to denounce this state of affairs. We call on the Concertgebouw to implement a genuine cultural boycott of Israel. Join us in letting the visitors to the Concertgebouw know that the institution is welcoming the chief cantor of a genocidal army, and bring your flags and banners! 🍉🇵🇸🥁
