@cdfinder @dasdom #macOS also doesn’t maintain a windows position on which display it is and stifle them around to different displayed. Doesn’t even need the system to sleep, display sleep is enough for that.
And when the system sleeps it will even dick up the arrangement of my displays regularly.
Mind you that this is happening on macOS #Ventura 14.x.

So this is the beginning of the end of the full usefulness of my late 2013 27" iMac. With OpenCore Legacy Patcher, Ventura runs quite well, but:
- The latest version of Davinci Resolve requires at least Sonoma and
- Sonoma support for OpenCore Legacy patcher has some weird deficiencies, such as: "Cannot edit photos in Portrait mode in Apple Photos on nvidia Kepler graphics hardware."
Oddly specific, but a showstopper for me.
So I cannot use both Photos and the latest Davinci Resolve version. Photos has always had the right balance of simplicity and power for me. It's there and it "just works".
12 years was a pretty good run.
