It is *quite* funny to me that people are at all shocked or surprised about ads being rolled out on Threads or Netflix or whatever. It's only going one way. Increased profit for the shareholders. Noone is rolling back on commercial advertising. There'll be adverts in your soup next. Your sink. Your toilet.
