Took my Rock Creek Creatures for a ride earlier.
When I got home, I had to flash some #JupitersGhost Away Mission game cartridges, so I did a little photo shoot with #JG running on a couple of devices.

Moving on from music, I apparently also run a video game studio.
We have two games out right now, and a few more in the works.
You can find the better of the two here: https://ajroach42.itch.io/jupiters-ghost-away-mission-gbc
It's a game set in the universe of #jupitersGhost where you explore alien moons and catalog the lifeforms you find along the way. It is, and I say this with every bit of modesty I can muster, one of the best things I've ever been involved with in my entire life.
Of course, that game is based on my podcast #JupitersGhost which is a CC-BY-SA shared universe podcast that can be found at https://intergalactic.computer among other places.
The #JG universe is pretty big, and there's a lot of stuff in it, including our in universe wiki, two episodes of the podcast, and a cartoon!
At some point there will be other episodes, and other podcasts. I'm confident of this.
We're even working on a comic book. We'll see how it all goes.
That game is also available on cartridge for the gameboy color, analog pocket, FPGBC, etc.

I won't talk about the label anymore, but you can find more stuff from us on bandcamp: https://analogrevolution.bandcamp.com/artists
or on our website directly: https://analogrevolution.com
A couple of things are marked as out of stock that absolutely aren't so ... I guess I should fix that!

I am officially sold out of the first production run of the #JupitersGhost Game Boy Color cartridge.
I'm making more right now, so there's still time to get one, but I just shipped the last of the first batch!
The ROM is still available on sale for the next 11 hours!
And I guess, while I'm searching for #videogame suggestions I should suggest my own #homebrew games.
https://itch.io/s/177232/holiday-sale
You can get a bundle with both of them right now for $5. One is a fairly short riff on the central joke of the #ExpeditionSasquatch podcast, the other is a much longer and more involved exploration of the #JupitersGhost universe.
Now I'm looking for indie/homebrew games that I can stick on my anbernic RG cube.
If you have suggestions, drop me an itch link.

Alright. I just finished what I think is the final round of revisions on the #JupitersGhost #JG gameboy color game.
I'm going to let it ruminate for a day or three and then upload it to itch and put the cartridges up for sale.
Hooray.
I'm also considering doing a livestreamed actual play RPG set in the Jupiter's Ghost universe.
This sounds like a good idea, right?
(I mean, a horrible idea, but...)
As I'm prepping for this, which I think is going to happen, I've been working on some of the other #JupitersGhost related things that need to get done.
I have my #JG uniform finished, and I have a couple of basic Away Mission shorts I want to shoot.
I need to get my biolog prop modeled up so I can print one out. A lightly painted PLA print should be sufficient as a screen held, non-hero prop.
But, even before that, I could probably get a short done if I could find a good field to shoot in.
Some of those guidelines are very reasonable!
Some of them are explicitly disallowing things that would otherwise be legal, which makes me angry.
For example:
- You can't register the copyright of the things you've produced, because you produced them in service of Star Trek? Bullshit, that I hate.
- You can't sell merch for your fan production, even if you don't use any Paramount owned shit in it? Bullshit that I hate.
- No physical media? Fuck that!
- You can't pay anyone involved? That's fucking bullshit!
- Anyone who has ever been in a Star Trek thing can't participate. Why? (Specifically to exclude Tim Russ and George Takei, presumably, but also perhaps to exclude James Cawley and others who were involved in existing fan productions who had *also* cameoed in various actual Star Trek productions.)
And then, of course, no more than 15 minutes per thing, and no more than two things per group. No sequels, no series, no seasons, nothing of proper episode length.
Anyway, all of that is to say: The fact that Paramount controls what can and can't be #starTrek is why we need #communityMedia
and it's why I started working on #JupitersGhost
No one can tell you what to do with the #SolarFederation, not even me!
Well, that's not entirely true. I can tell you one thing: whatever you do with the #JG universe you have to give back to the JG universe ( #CCBYSA)
But, if you find yourself looking for a place to tell space stories, and you want to settle in to an existing universe rather than writing your own, take a look at https://intergalactic.computer/social
(After all that, I found a better wiki.)
Alright, so if you're interested in learning (a very small amount) more about the backstory and universe of #JupitersGhost and the #SolarFederation we now have a wiki.
It's sparse, but it will grow: https://intergalactic.computer/social/solarica/encyclopedia-solarica-home/
Wish Matrix/element supported per room display names.
I don't want to be @jandrews everywhere, but I don't want to be ajroach42 on the #jupitersGhost
So, what is #JupitersGhost / #Intergalactic.social / the #SolarFederation
Ever dreamed of stepping into the background of your favorite sci-fi show? To explore deep space, make a home on a distant station, or be part of a crew navigating a vast, complex galaxy? Your chance is here!
Intergalactic Social is a collaborative fiction site and the central hub for the Solar Federation Universe.
Think of it as an in-character social network where you can create a character and help build an open, shared universe alongside other creators. All content is licensed CC-BY-SA, so the stories we tell together are free to grow and evolve!
If you're interested in joining the crew of the #JupitersGhost or starting your own #solarFederation setting, get in touch with me or @jandrews
If you're intrigued, but want more information...
Well you can start at https://intergalactic.computer or https://intergalactic.computer/social
but also give me a few minutes to get to a real keyboard and I'll wax poetic about what this project is supposed to be and why it exists and why I think it's more relevant now than ever and what I hope you'll get out of it.
I was looking for Fiction that felt like Star Trek earlier, and I came up with very little.
Because Star Trek is a synthesis of serious War sci-fi with a bunch of soap opera conventions.
The things that have the big ship with the large crew and the hyper-competence tend to be barely disguised fascist propaganda.
The fiction that does the most character driven stuff, tend to feature very small crews of people who are just barely scraping by. Sometimes this is really lovely (The Wayfarer's series, for example) but it is also very different.
I'm thinking about this, of course, because I'm writing for Jupiter's Ghost.
Jupiter's Ghost is a big spaceship with a few hundred people on it, and I've been trying to find other examples of stories about big crews in space that are largely about the people.
What I'm finding, mostly, are stories about a single person or a very small group, or about war.
Alright, migrating to another provider because that'll be faster than waiting on them to fix things.
But it's email and DNS so it's going to take a while regardless.
It's done! We can send emails again.
My apologies to everyone who had a dormant #JupitersGhost account for the email you just received!
