Per a executar #Apertus en local (sistema operatiu Gentoo) tenint una CPU AMD Ryzen 7 i 32GB de RAM, em recomanen una targeta gràfica AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (20 GB VRAM), uns 750€ 😳
Amb 20 GB VRAM podria executar Apertus-70B en Q4_K_M a ~15–20 tokens/segon.
La gràfica que tinc ara, una Nvidia GT730 (molt vella), no em serveix per a res. 😅

After #Teuken7b and #Olmo2, Apertus is the next big jump in capabilities and performance of #FOSS #LLMs, while also improving #epistemicresilience and #epistemicautonomy with its multilingual approach.
I believe that especially for sensitive areas like #education, #healthcare, or #academia, there is no alternative to fully open #AI models. Everybody should start building upon them and improving them.

Unfortunately, the quality isn't quite there yet... it fails the usual trick questions ("how many L in pizzeria"), regurgitates some inadvertent training material (e.g. when asking "Wie würdest du die Schweiz beschreiben?", "how to describe Switzerland?") and makes Grammar mistakes in German.
