In its statement, the Pentagon suggested that Kelly’s statements in the video interfered with the “loyalty, morale, or good order & discipline of the armed forces” by citing the federal #law that prohibits such actions.
The #Pentagon says it is investigating #Democratic Senator & former astronaut #MarkKelly of Arizona for possible breaches of #military #law after Kelly joined a handful of other lawmakers in a video that called for US troops to refuse unlawful orders - which happens to be required by military law. When Trump’s handpicked interim #USAttorney #LindseyHalligan briefly took the stand Wednesday, she said only 2 grand jurors reviewed the final #indictment it handed up against former FBI Director #JamesComey. Comey’s attorney then argued Halligan’s testimony indicates, “there is no indictment” against his client.
The judge started, “Am I correct -”
“No, you’re not,” #LindseyHalligan interrupted (you don’t do that). She said that there was one additional grand juror in the magistrate’s courtroom & quoted her back-and-forth with that judge.
“I’m familiar with the transcript,” Nachmanoff said. He then told her to sit down.
“The new indictment wasn’t a new indictment,” Lemons said, attempting to justify that it was only reviewed by the foreperson.
Judge Michael Nachmanoff quickly called #LindseyHalligan, who was the only prosecutor who presented the case to the grand jury, to the lectern, asking her to confirm that the entire grand jury was never presented the altered indictment.
