So my initial #sentiment in regards of the tone is that the #political #language would most likely not go along with most of the #tech #people , and also the #passionate language which is easily #confused for #hostile might not with others. This is not my personal #critique of your #style , rather an #observation on how that kind of thing could #undervalue or sabotage the #ideas underneath, which of course should be the only thing that #matter .

I am also #curious , since you have an interesting #concept of #compost there, whether it would #scale . On the same #note , if you were to gain #mass #attention with your #website , would it #benefit it by bringing right #people , or would it #rot it? You mention #preventive systems for avoiding that kind of rot. I would like to hear more about that.

Every time I want to search for something, I'm showed the trends and inevitably lose 5 minutes and 10 #attention hitpoints.
Can I switch it off? Default off toggle? Using mastodon web-app, could change.
If an app sends me a notification/interruption to try to sell me things, that's an instant uninstall.
Companies producing such apps tell me "We feel entitled to abuse your time and attention if we can grift a penny or two from you."
Get out of my phone if you can't behave.
Much as I'm enjoying the Schadenfreude of the Trump/Musk feud along with everyone else, I'm also starting to think the degree we focus on things like this is part of the problem. Politics is not supposed to be just about celebrity personalities. It's supposed to be about policies and representing all the people. We can't get better if we keep getting high off the dopamine supply of news like this. We have to choose to pay attention differently.
