i'm a little worried that #flosstodon is mutating
university library forecourt #flosstodon in today’s heavy rain. I was walking to my office from class in the math building (because our classes have increased in size by 50%, and there aren’t enough right-sized classrooms in the Arts area) with an undergrad. He was nonplussed as I paused, and pounced, and snapped a jpeg.

i'm trying to not only post (about) the (overt) horrors so please enjoy a #flosstodon that's ready for its closeup
@inquiline @SRLevine some thoughts: literal greenwashing? An appeal to the bathroom-clean-minimalist aesthetic of transparent glass tile on white? Invoking water? The weirdness of a black-on-matte-black Toronto #flosstodon is still with me. Is the os a grave? Or is it #flosstodon you mourn for?

I’m so excited: my first Toronto #flosstodon, sober in colour, finished, en bloc, even to the matte black floss itself, in a way that befits the self-image of plastics discarders in the big smoke. On the pavement in front of Union Station this morning.
Heading into a rainstorm and winter break with a #trashtodon - #flosstodon crossover
I thought Vancouver folk had given up using these, but: #flosstodon! outside the west side waxing studio. Perhaps it’s just that the price of flossers has gone up.
Been a minute since I had a good #flosstodon entry
hey look it's a depave #flosstodon for @seachanger
#flosstodon bridging a chasm
@ophiocephalic @other_ghosts oh yeah i posted because it’s a great photo. i’m posting a good deal of trash lately but my own amateur trash photography isn’t up to this level
this reminds me i’m behind on some #flosstodon posts
#flosstodon the afternoon before Yom Kippur, on the 1960s-era concrete sidewalk outside a pink circa-1905 Queen Anne bungalow in my neighbourhood, surrounded by wet fallen leaves

yoinked from corporate social media, the poster claiming that piles of these things are under every ATM (known in #Canada as a “bank machine,” where I have never not ever seen a flosser.) Is this symbolic convergence of #flosstodon with late capitalism a uniquely American thing? #usa
