Sorry I missed this update from Thursday last week, but Congo 🇨🇬 is the latest country to ratify the Global Ocean Treaty (aka #BBNJ) bringing the total number of ratifications to 52 out of 60 needed for the treaty to come into effect.
We are so close to acquiring a whole new legal framework for international ocean protection! 🌊🐙🐳
