The FBI’s search warrant, which sought 2020 election ballots, tabulator tapes, digital data and voter rolls from Fulton County, GA, marked what experts described as a significant escalation in President Donald Trump’s breaking of democratic norms.

@ProPublica In Czech Republic voters came with electronic IDs which were officially considered a valid ID for voting, and were IMO arbitrarily, wantonly and frivolously not allowed to vote, citing "overloaded system".
I can imagine a programming of the system like this:
if (voter.political_preference==opposition) {fprintf(stderr,"Error: sorry, system overloaded!\n"); exit -1; }

Do you know what's the difference between Cambodian 3rd world developing country dictatorship and Czech Republic?
In Cambodia I got a dentist in 1 day, in Czechia I had to phone dentists for 2 months before I got one. In case of dermatologist even 4 months.
I feel
e x t r e m e l y s t r o n g c o n t e m p t
towards the Czech regime.

The Conservative Researcher Being Linked to the FBI’s Seizure of Election Records in Georgia

Kevin Moncla has tried repeatedly to prove that the 2020 vote in Fulton County, Georgia, was tainted by fraud. While state election overseers have rejected his claims, his work may be fueling the federal government’s ongoing investigations.

ProPublica and The Texas Tribune found that DHS rushed a revamped tool to check voters’ citizenship into use while it was still adding data.
As a result, the tool has made persistent mistakes, particularly for citizens born outside the U.S.

The UK government's climbdown over mandatory Digital ID is a victory for ORG and other groups that warned of the threats to everyone's civil liberties.
BUT questions still remain.
Despite this latest U-turn, neither the scheme nor the giant pricetag have gone away entirely.

Our pressure on the government to back down on Digital IDs worked.
But as long as it remains a government project, our data and privacy is at risk. The fight isn’t over.

Even if it's voluntary, Digital ID still creates a surveillance infrastructure.
This could be expanded later on as a requirement to access public services.
As we've seen with eVisas, digitalising interactions with the UK State without physical backups creates serious problems.

Having said that the Digital ID scheme was vital to control those trying to work illegally in the UK, Labour is backing away from such mandatory requirements (allowing right-to-work checks to take, as they do now, a range of other proofs as valid)...
which suggests once again, the Labour Govt. is either failing to really scope out opposition to its policies, or is naively picking up policies long advocated by civil servants but with little political backing.

"French lawmakers are preparing a renewed push to limit children’s online exposure, unveiling a proposal that would block anyone under 15 from using social media platforms.
The draft legislation, reviewed by AFP, sets September 2026 as the target date for enforcement.
President Emmanuel Macron has endorsed the plan and urged Parliament to take it up.
France’s effort follows a similar move in Australia, which recently became the first country to impose an outright ban on under-16s accessing social media.
To apply such a rule, online platforms would need to verify every user’s age at sign-up or login. This would go far beyond the current model of self-declared birthdays and instead rely on official credentials such as national IDs, driver’s licenses, or government-backed digital identity wallets.
In effect, it would introduce a form of digital ID into everyday internet use."
